In September 2015, the Cinema Network across its 20 theatres brought you a selection of six French films jointly with Rendez-vous Festival and Croatian Audiovisual Centre.
All-time classic were shown on the big screen: “Les parapluies de Cherbourg” / “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” by Jacques Demy and “Jules et Jim” / “Jules & Jim” by François Truffaut, as well as contemporary French hits “Quai d’Orsay” / “The French Minister” by Bertrand Tavernier, “Les Beaux Jours” / “Bright Days Ahead” by Marion Vernoux and “Week-ends” by Anne Villaceque.
The opulent French programme also featured a treat for the youngest audience, “Ma maman est en Amérique, elle a rencontré Buffalo Bill” / “My Mommy Is in America and She Met Buffalo Bill”, a feature animated film by Marc Boréal.
In September of 2016, program Rendes-vouz au cinema was held in cooperation with the Croatian audiovisual Centre and the French Institute. The program opened with a screening of the film “Pierrot le fou” by Jean-Luc Goddard, and is also shown in the following movies: “Holiday” by Jacques Tati, “Memories” by Jean-Paul Rouve, “Hippocrates” by Thomas Liltij, “Like a Plane“, directed by Bruno Podalydès, “Fatima” by Phillipe Faucon and a children’s animated film “Gus – little bird, big trip“, directed by Christian De Vita.
The third Rendes-vouz au cinema was held in cooperation with the Croatian audiovisual Centre and the French Institute. Program started in 18 cinemas with drama directed by Jean-Luc Godard “Contempt” on October 15th and by the end of November, 24 more cinemas across the country featured four great French animated, humorous and documentary titles.
