The online selection includes a cross-section of the successful short films from the four previous editions of the Marathon, and all the details will be made public on time.

The Shortest Day initiative was launched in 2012 by the French Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC), in association with the Short Film Agency, with the idea of a day-long promotion of a rich short film repertory across the country. Following a huge success in France, the initiative became international and now includes 14 European countries. The fifth Short Film Marathon is organised by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre in association with the Cinema Network and French Institute in Zagreb.
