Woman's Day's

Celebrating the International Women’s Day on 8 March, in 2015 we designed the programme called Women’s Day Weekend – 8 March Cinema, which brought outstanding and award-winning film titles about powerful women and their challenges in today’s society on the big screens.

The event marked the beginning of small cinema revitalisation and is a certain introduction into new programming that will celebrate interesting and important dates and that way get closer to the local audience.

The second Women’s Day Weekend took place 5-8 March 2016 and screened five must-see stories about women. Women’s Day Weekend 2016 included 20 cities and towns and 26 independent cinemas and presented new titles and reruns focusing, naturally, on women.

The third Women’s Days event took place from 7 to 12 March 2017 and featured three must-see films. In 2017 25 cities and 28 independent cinemas took part in the event, and audiences had a chance to enjoy one iconic classic film and two important contemporary titles.

The forth Women’s Days took place from  8 to 11 March 2018 and featured four movies from recent women’s and/or feminist plate and tree of four movies were directed by women. In 2018 Women’s Day’s included 32 cinemas in 27 cities all around Croatia.
